Solace Ministry

“Then the young woman will rejoice with dancing, while young and old men rejoice together. I will turn their mourning into joy, give them consolation, and bring happiness out of grief. ”~Jeremiah 31:13

A reading from the Prophet Isaiah (61:1-3) “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed; to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning.”

The Solace Ministry Model...

The Solace Ministry's purpose is to comfort in a time of distress and sadness during a difficult time, serve the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of our church family who have experienced death.

The ministry provides prayer, support and resources.

Grief Gab Game Day
Hosted by Minister Stephenetta
Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 12:00 PM

Games can be an expressive way to engage with grief and help us confront loss. It’s also a healthy way to cope with death and encourage human connection. Games are a creative way to open sharing of emotions, memories and thoughts that’s necessary for processing.
