Unity Street Team
The Unity Street Team’s purpose is to go out into the community and provide different forms of outreach to help others in need. The need can range from food assistance, clothing, education materials, or just a helping hand to assist with the emotional stress of society.
If you would like to make a donation or provide outreach to others, please email the Street Team’s Ministry Leader, Missy Mitchell, at StreetTeam@UnityCharlotteNC.org
September 4, 2021 - Unity Street Team and Hands of Hope feed the homeless
This makes my heart SO HAPPY. Thanks Unity Charlotte International Street Team and HANDZ OF HOPE. It’s always an honor to go out into the community, but it’s more of a blessing that they appreciate it.
Please if you are reading this post, listen to the man singing, he was so happy to sing for us. Can’t wait till next time

November 8th, 2019 - Unity Street Team and Handz of Hope Visit a Senior Citizen’s facility.
The Street Team and Hands of Hope visited the Senior Citizens facility and offered a free eye exam and educated the seniors on the importance of their yearly eye evaluations. We took a couple of items just to be a blessing. Every senior received an encouraging card, inspirational coffee mug, and a free eye exam voucher. We developed a rapport with them and will go back to visit and lend a helping hand and have some snacks. They said they love food so our now visit will include food!
October 23rd, 2019 - Unity Street Team and Handz of Hope handed out blessing bags to the less fortunate.
Unity Street Team and Handz of Hope provided over 100+ blessing bags to those less fortunate. The bags contained blankets, socks, hand warmers, ear muffs and hygiene products.
August 17th, 2019 - Unity Street Team and Gatekeepers hit the streets to feed the less fortunate
Unity Street Team in partnership with HANDZ of HOPE prepared 207 sandwich bags for the less fortunate. The lunch bags consisted of 1 or 2 sandwiches (ham, turkey, and some peanut butter and jelly) fruit snacks, chips, Little Debbie Cakes, and apple or banana, and water.
We also passed out male and female blessing bags. The male bags had razors, deodorant, and a variety of other masculine products. The female bags consisted of deodorant and feminine products.
We had an amazing time talking and feeding the less fortunate. While we were out there we prayed, talked, and invited them to the church. We also ask them for some input about what they needed when people came out to feed them. They said by far we were the nicest group to come out and help.
